949.com – $13,560 – A Southern Orange County, California area code
313.com – $25,000 – A Detroit, Michigan area code
421.com – $12,229 – A country code for Slovakia

According to the recently sold domain names at Sedo the seller of items.com scored $50,000 for the domain. The new owner is yet to be identified as the whois record shows Sedo transfer services. A solid domain name that covers virtually all types of products.

With 2009 finally complete a look back at the top 10 domain sales of the year reveals that half of the domain names sold were product domains selling for a total of $11,415,000. The remaining domains sold can be broken down into service related, geographic, and luck.com which could be classified as anything.
