Google Trends was a good tool to find new domains to hand register, but it seems that this Google product as a stand alone product is fading out.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.google.com/trends/hottrends?sa=X" target="_blank">Google Trends</a> made a significant change to their results today by decreasing the number of results from 100 down to 40. Using Google Trends was a great way to see on a hourly basis what users are searching for and then sometimes able to hand register new keyphrases as domains that would inevitably get type-in traffic. Google <a href="http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/09/keep-up-with-latest-trends-using-google.html" target="_blank">explains</a> that a graph will show up on the bottom of the results when you search on a hot trend and then state &#8220;We hope this change will make for a simpler user experience, and help you focus better on the top, most interesting content.&#8221;</p>
