According to the recently sold domain names at Sedo the seller of items.com scored $50,000 for the domain. The new owner is yet to be identified as the whois record shows Sedo transfer services. A solid domain name that covers virtually all types of products.

With 2009 finally complete a look back at the top 10 domain sales of the year reveals that half of the domain names sold were product domains selling for a total of $11,415,000. The remaining domains sold can be broken down into service related, geographic, and luck.com which could be classified as anything.

While browsing for recent domain sales on Afternic I noticed that the recently sold domains page once located here: http://www.afternic.com/names.php?c=0&sold=1 is now 302 redirected (screenshot) to http://www.afternic.com/search.php. Could this be because of all the comments on this post from The Domains about bloggers needing to respect domain buyers privacy requests or is it a temporary [...]

Here are a couple of interesting domains that sold on GoDaddy’s Expiring Auction today: KnockoutEnergyDrink.com for $2,240 and KnockoutEnergy.com $4,025.
KnockoutEnergyDrink.com had 2 bidders with a total 39 bids (screenshot).
KnockoutEnergy.com had 3 bidders with a total of 59 bids (screenshot).
Doing some quick searching it looks like a Knockout Energy Drink (Myspace profile link) may have existing [...]

Sedo posted some interesting sales today. First up a Youtube typo domain – youtugbe.com sold for $4,242 and is currently parked at Parked.com with Youtube as the domain’s title tag and title… looks like a clear case of trademark infringement and cybersquatting.
The other domain I found interesting is the domain balldontlie.com that sold for $3,250. [...]

As reported by Elliot – Insure.com has sold its website and domain for $16,000,000, a premium domain for a premium product.
