Verisign has released a new report outlining The Domain Name Industry for the year end of 2009. I picked out some interesting data points below:
- Increase of 15 million domain name registrations when compared to 2008 year end.
- Fourth quarter 2009 new registrations were around 3.7 million per month totaling 11 million across all TLDs, [...]

As reported by Verisign, Inc. domain names have grown to 184 Million for the second quarter of 2009. It’s a one percent increase from the first quarter of 2009 and a nine percent increase from first quarter 2008.
